Meridian Steel
Additional secured orders saw Meridian Steel in need of enhanced production capability. C C Contracting were recommended to Meridian by several local companies as experts in the construction of specialist machine foundations for heavy industry.
We were engaged by Meridian to Design and Construct the new foundation, breaking out their existing floor and constructing the complex new foundation for their new slitting line, comprising several pits, trenches and plinths with a 10.5 metre deep looping pit in the centre.
In addition to the machine foundation we also carried out foundation works for the overhead crane to enable it to be siginifcantly uprated in lifting capacity.
